Gillis Gilkerson, one of the most stable and trusted construction management and general contracting firms on Delmarva, announced the addition of Colby Bounds to the team. Bounds was hired as an estimator and project manager and brings over 15 years of experience in the construction industry.
“Colby’s first project was the Elks Club renovation and he exceeded expectations,” said Dwight Miller, president, Gillis Gilkerson. “The client is very happy with the outcome. He has already proven to be an asset to the company with his attention to detail, communication skills and commitment to delivering quality customer service. We look forward to him growing with Gillis Gilkerson as we continue to serve our local communities.”
“I enjoy being a part of an established, reputable company that cares about their employees, and their customers. I enjoy working around these professionals every day,” said Bounds. “Moving from the residential side of construction to commercial was a big change but I have a lot of support from my co-workers which has made the process easy. I learn something new every day.”
Colby graduated from Parkside High School in 2003 and lives in Salisbury with his wife, Jill and two daughters, Brooke and Brynn. In his free time he enjoys playing soccer, golfing, coaching his girls and taking the family out on the boat.
