Gobble up the trails Thanksgiving morning at the ninth annual Turkey Trek 5K at Pemberton Historical Park.

The event is organized by Wicomico County Recreation, Parks & Tourism and benefits Pemberton Historical Park’s environmental education programs. Early registration is available through Nov. 19 for $25. The cost for on-site registration is $30.
The race begins at 9 a.m. On-site registration will take place from 7:30-8 a.m. and preregistered runners should check in from 8-8:30 a.m.
Register by Nov. 1 to be guaranteed an event shirt. Long-sleeved shirts are available for an additional $5 for those who register by Nov. 1.
“The Turkey Trek is such a fun Thanksgiving tradition,” said Vanessa Junkin, assistant director of marketing and public relations for Wicomico County Recreation, Parks & Tourism. “This run is a great way to start your morning – and then you get to have pie afterward and enjoy time with fellow runners and walkers.”
