\Golfers across the Eastern Shore will have the opportunity to play the private War Admiral course at Glen Riddle during the 31sth annualDelmarva Power Golf Tournament, taking place May 1, 2017. The Delmarva Power Golf Tournament has been a community event and major fundraiser for Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore since the tournament’s inception in 1986.
“Delmarva Power salutes Junior Achievement for the work it does in teaching financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship to more than 6,500 area youths,” said John Petito of Delmarva Power, the sponsor of this event. “Our area’s economic future depends on making sure today’s youths are properly trained in business-related skills, and Junior Achievement does a great job in helping to make sure many young people receive the necessary training to succeed in the business world. We are looking forward to another great tournament at a great venue like Glen Riddle. The course and staff are always top notch.”
Registration for the tournament begins at 12:00 pm with shotgun start at 1 p.m. Foursome packages are $750. Entry fee includes range, cart, lunch, snacks, drinks, prize reception, and more. Hole and putting contest, as well as additional sponsorships are available. Proceeds from this tournament will provide Junior Achievement financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship program material to classrooms across Wicomico and Worcester Counties.
