On January 14 the Chamber held its first Business After Hours at Big Brothers Big Sister of the Greater Chesapeake, and what a wonderful event they hosted! While celebrating National Mentoring Month they invited other agencies providing these services to join them. On hand were Epoch Dream Center, Horizons Salisbury, Inc. and Wicomico Mentoring Program. All of these organizations provide opportunities for individuals in this community to play an active role in shaping the future of our community by supporting our children in one way or another. Chamber members, new and prospective, were able to see where their time and talents could be used by finding out what fit their schedule. The event was supported by The United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore and the food was provided by Worcester County Developmental Center. If you want to learn more about what you can do to change a life, give one of these organizations a call. Heartfelt thanks to Jessica Mimms, Kara Neel and Addie Cropper for an informative and fabulous evening.
