Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Chesapeake Holds ‘Back to School Bash’

The Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Chesapeake’s annual Back to School Bash was held on Saturday August 29, 2015 at the Hazel Outdoor Discovery Center in Eden, Maryland. The event was sponsored by the Courtesy Chevrolet Cadillac and chaired by Eastern Shore Advisory Board Member, Joshua Nordstrom. Other support was provided by PNC Bank, Delmarva Power, Real Property Maintenance, LLC, and BNI.

Children, families and mentoring matches from across the Eastern Shore enjoyed a cookout, moon bounce, balloon relay, an obstacle course challenge, fishing, dancing, face painting and a campfire with s’mores. The music was provided by DJ Tom the Intern from The Ocean 98.1, which donated his services. An emphasis was placed getting kids prepared to return to school. Children received a backpack stuffed with school supplies to return to school prepared for the year.
